Where Bbdim7 goes

• Bbdim7 is the vii°7 chord of B minor: it pulls up one key, Bbdim7 → B / Bm.
• Every note is three keys above the one before, so Bbdim7, C#dim7, Edim7 and Gdim7 use the same four keys.
• That even spacing is why Bbdim7 sounds tense, dramatic and can lead to several different chords.
• Fb is the same key as E.
• Abb is the same key as G.

A 5-minute Bbdim7 routine

1. Play Bb, Db, Fb, Abb slowly in root position and say "Bbdim7" each time.
