From Abm to Ab only one thing changes: 3rd string (G): fret 4 → fret 5.
Learning Abm step by step
- Put the shape down slowly and pick each string once to check it rings.
- Take the hand off and put the whole shape back at once, ten times in a row.
- Switch between Abm and Cb for one minute, then try Dbm.
If Abm does not sound clean
- Buzzing means the finger is too far from the fret: slide it closer.
- A string is muted? Arch your fingers so they touch only their own string.
- Sore fingertips are normal at the start; short daily practice fixes it.

Is Abm easy on guitar?
It is a barre chord at fret 4, so it takes a little more strength at first. Start slowly, check that every string rings, then practise switching to Cb.
