What notes are in the Am7 guitar chord?
A minor 7 has three notes: A, C, E, G. On the guitar some of them are doubled on different strings, so all six (or five) strings sound like one chord.
What is the difference between Am7 and Am on guitar?
Am7 adds one note to Am: G, on top of A C E. From Am to Am7: 3rd string (G): fret 2 → open.
Which fingers do I use for Am7?
Middle finger: 4th string (D), fret 2, index finger: 2nd string (B), fret 1.
Can I practise Am7 with a microphone or MIDI keyboard?
Both work in ChordRunner. The microphone hears an acoustic or electric guitar; a USB MIDI keyboard is detected automatically. Either way A, C, E, G must sound together.
Your instrument is the controller.
ChordRunner is a browser game that teaches piano and guitar chords: a chord appears on screen, you play it on a real instrument, and your runner jumps. MIDI keyboard or microphone, both work.
