Where Eaug is used
A common move is E → Eaug → A: the raised note in Eaug pushes up into A.
The notes inside Eaug, string by string
| 5th string (A) | fret 7: E |
|---|---|
| 4th string (D) | fret 6: G# |
| 3rd string (G) | fret 5: B# |
| 2nd string (B) | fret 5: E |
Slide this shape along the neck: fret 5 = Daug, fret 6 = Ebaug, fret 8 = Faug, fret 9 = F#aug.
A short Eaug routine
- Put the shape down slowly and pick each string once to check it rings.
- Lift the hand, then land all fingers together. Repeat ten times.
- Change from Eaug to E and back for a minute; then add A.
