Keys and moves for Eb6
- Eb6 is a home chord: it replaces Eb at the end of a song in Eb major.
- It is also the IV chord in Bb major, a soft colour before going home.
Practise Eb6 in four steps
- Say the notes out loud while you press them: Eb, G, Bb and C.
- Play Eb, then Eb6, then Eb again, and hear what the added 6th brings to the chord.
- Try Eb6 in 1st inversion, the position that sits closest to your last chord.
- Last, meet Eb6 mixed with chords you already know, in an order you did not plan.
Keep each session short and frequent and Eb6 will become automatic.
Play Eb6 in a game
